Milk bottle
Miliardi di bottiglie vengono prodotte ogni anno. La maggior parte però sono davvero difficili da manipolare, sollevare e impugnare. Il designer si è proposto di ri-progettare una bottiglia di latte che utilizzi i macchinari e la tecnologia attuali per arrivare ad una soluzione in cui si debba applicare meno o addirittura per niente forza per impugnare la bottiglia e versare il latte. Stesse forme, colori e materiali delle bottiglie di latte in vendita nei supermercati ma indirizza l'utente ad una presa a palmo aperto, aumentando il comfort e diminuendo la forza necessaria. Polietilene ad alta densità è il materiale usato, ha una estrema versatilità e la capacità di essere personalizzato, è più leggero di altre materie plastiche, ha una durata estrema, buona resistenza, garantisce una buona igiene ed è relativamente economico e riciclabile.
Milk bottle
Billions of bottles for liquid packaging are being produced every year. Most of them though are really difficult to manipulate, lift and grip. The designer set a brief that had to re-design a milk bottle that utilised existing machinery and technology achieving a solution where less or even no clamping force/ grip force will have to be applied in order to pour the milk out of the bottle. The milk bottles use the same shapes, colours and materials as is found on the latest typology of retail supermarket milk containers but it directs the user to an open palm grip in order to pick up or hold the bottle, increasing comfort and decreasing the required grip strength needed to operate. High Density Poly-Ethylene is the most common plastic used for milk bottles and that is what i have proposed for my final milk bottle design. HDPE has an extreme versatility and ability to be tailored, it is lighter than other plastics, it has an extreme durability, good resistance, good hygiene properties, it is relatively cheap and recyclable.
